Hey guys,
Just thought I would share my project and thank clio-tuning for the idea of moving the engine mount back! I built this thing for the Reno, NV rally this summer.
Thanks!

Re: My project
Hey there,
Nothing crazy, like some some of the dudes out here!
DR 65cc
Technigas Proma copy
Carbon reeds
21mm Dellorto
Next, I think CDI is in order, and I am going to modify the stock vario as much as possible.
It kind of feels like the power band on the Proma copy is not as wide as the real Proma. I think I will eventually get a MotoMatic pipe. They are a local company and a great bunch of people who make killer pipes. I think Jcams has one.

Re: My project
Nice Camino !
But indeed, I would choose a HPI ignition, and maybe also trying to addapt a scootervario ?

I believe that this is a MotoMatic pipe (@computronic2040: correct me if I'm wrong).
I'm curious to know how much this exhaust costs. I believe it's an hand-made pipe, isn't it? And it has a better performance then Leovinci or Proma Circuit?
Nice project with a nice setup!
How did you fix the CD-ignition? I haven't seen this type of ignition before...

Re: My project
Twister,
Yes it is a Motomatic destroyer. I believe they are $280.00. http://shop.motomaticmopeds.com/
Nate (who makes the pipes) is a true craftsman and I can't recommend the pipe enough! The powerband seems wider than the Proma, it does hit harder. Here is the Dyno data: http://motomaticmopeds.com/blog/?p=811
The ignition is from a KTM 50. Like this guy:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-KTM- ... ccessories
My friend cut the taper (5 degree taper for the hobbit crankshaft) made some spacers and a backing plate. The rotor weighs nothing and allows it to rev up quickly.
Another us group that makes hobbit pipes:

Sorry, I killed my old blog!

Re: My project
don't you have a old pic left?
it's seems to be a long silencer?
is the exhaust louder (db) than a proma or leovinci or simonini
is the shop from you because i'm very interested to buy an exhaust?

@ Oldie: When you're planning to create a Camino/Hobbit running at high RPM's, perhaps you better use this pipe instead of this one.
BTW: that ignition is really cheap compared to the HPI that I'm using
When it works proparly, perhaps I might one of those...

Re: My project
I'm searching for an exhaust thas gives a better start then a Proma with ATV and the same top speed as a leovinci
Wide power band for aggressive city riding and road racing.
Amazing power boost for low and mid range with great throttle response.

My ignition is going to stay like stock and not CDI or HPI so a high range exhaust isn't for me, correct me if i'm wrong

can i presume that the exhaust will give me this result = a better start then a Proma with ATV and the same top speed as a leovinci ?

Re: My project
Maybe, if computronic2040 gives you the measurements of the exhaust pipe, you can compare the difference in (expected) performance between the proma and the motomatic using i.e. the theory of Graham Bell.
