Here is my Hobbit!

Postby kozanatos » Thu 08 Sep 2011, 06:10

Started with a PA50I ( top speed 20mph ) with 1,200 mi on it (1200 mi = 1 931.2128 kilometers)

'70cc' DR (twice seized)
PA50I carb Drilled to 12.7mm
nice scooter exhaust ( aprila zx leo pipe )
pa50ii ramp plate
random weights
jetted right
No intake arm, new oem filter
I weigh 125 pounds = 56.6990463 kilograms

I did this for fun around town ( I live in a really small town, like 70 people ) took <10 minutes

mount

top speed : 60mph (60 mph = 96.56064 kph)

Thought I would share this even though you guys run crazy scooter kits and probably go way faster.

Exaust side of the piston means oil problem. Probably not enough oil in your mixture or wrong oil (you must use premix, not injection system oil). Remember: the oil is the most important thing to cool your cilinder: it makes a film between your cilinder and the moving piston so the piston heat is transferred to the cilinder which is cooled by air.

I've been running a 6hs, should i be running a ngk bp7hs then?
I also think the mix was off, probably like 60:1 of normal 2stroke oil, not amsoil sabre or any synthetic crazy oil.
Friend was mixing it wrong.

60:1 is for sure not enough oil! Honda requires on the 15 mph Camino 50:1 and on the 25 mph 25:1 ...

6hs is ok if outside temperature is low (winter), in summer 7hs or even 8hs

too cold is better then too hot on sparks

Great Camino!!!

But can someone tell me for what are the cuts in the Vario? I have seen them very often but I don't know for what they are.

Thanks

its just tuning of the vario .. if you do this your belt can come higher but then you also need to use your grease protectionplate otherwise your variorolls will fly out, and believe me that hurts

only goes 35mph (56kph) now, maybe 40mph, but it was running LEAN and clean.
So i am boring out a carburetor

jb weld, paper plate, qtip

I used a qtip chunk to put in the vent and I used the rest to mix up the jbweld and apply it, worked awesome. IF you must know, cut off a 1/4th of the qtip. I think after it dries I will drill it out, hehehe
